Zimbabwe Famine Relief Fund

The people of Zimbabwe are suffering due to a poor harvest. You can help!

The 2025 rainy season was insufficient for most of our local farmers. Though the rains were better than the severe drought of 2024, only about a third of folks harvested enough corn to last until the next harvest. What little was harvested has now finished leaving our vulnerable population like widows and orphans in great need. Our area, consists largely of hard working, subsistence farmers, who currently face a scarcity of corn, which is the staple food of Zimbabwe.

As a community, we’re working hard to do all that can be done. The government provides some direct assistance to a handful of families per village. We’re partnering with local leaders and our community care department to assist the most vulnerable people including elderly, widows, and orphans. Practically, we would like to distribute 30 tons of corn to those we have identified as most in need.  This would go a long way especially during the holiday season.  Food support will be needed until June of next year when the next crop comes in.  TEAM also assists our vulnerable population with a bit of crop inputs so that they can have a harvest next year.

We seek to help support 400 vulnerable individuals through direct support and 200 families through our work-for-food program during this difficult time.
